Taichung

Taichung is one of Taiwan’s largest cities. It’s been an important urban center since before the Japanese era and there is plenty of history from the 19th and 20th centuries. It’s often overlooked as a destination but I found there was plenty there to interest me: From the gritty neighborhoods around the train station to the dynamic and constantly changing areas around Yizhong and the new City Hall.
